COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Department of Public Safety is hosting a career fair at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy April 23.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus.
As part of the fair, a seminar will teach attendees about cadet training and a career as an Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper. The presentation will also provide an overview of the application process.
“Working for the Ohio State Highway Patrol is a great way to make a difference with your life’s work,” said Sgt. Levente Berry. “We welcome all applicants who value discipline, hard work and service to others. Our hope is to reach applicants with diverse backgrounds to strengthen our workforce with men and women who reflect the communities we serve.”
OSP is accepting applications for the position of Trooper.
The minimum requirements for the position are:
- United States citizen
- 20 – 34 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ohio resident (upon graduation)
- Valid operator’s license
