LOWELL, Mass. (NECN) – One high school senior in Lowell, Massachusetts is thinking outside of the box when it comes to raising money for college.
18-year-old Emily Stutz has started panhandling for cash, even carrying a sign explaining her situation to strangers.
“I have this huge gap of money and there’s no way of it coming in, so that’s why I decided to do what I did,” said Stutz.
She was able to raise about $600 after one day of work, not bad at all until you see the $20,000 that she has already raised on her GoFundMe.com page.
