Tech Trends: New Apple ID phishing, texting scam hitting iPhones

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON’s Tech Trends reporter Gabe Slate has a warning for you.

It is a texting scam that is gaining traction and tricking people into giving out their personal information to cyber criminals.

Gabe shows us how it works and how to avoid falling victim.

People are getting a message that pops up on their phone saying that their Apple ID is expiring, and they will be locked out of their account unless they take action.
