Boil advisory issued for parts of Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) — A boil advisory has been issued for parts of the City of Miamisburg.

According to city officials, a power interruption at the City’s Water Treatment Facility caused a pressurization issue in the low water service area. The problem was fixed, but a boil advisory has been issued as a precaution.

You should boil your water if you live in the following parts of Miamisburg:

  • West of Heincke Road and north of Central Avenue, including Heincke and Central, plus David Drive, Carolyn Drive, Kathy Lane, and East Lindsay west of Carolyn Drive
  • South of Central to Mound Avenue west of Ninth Street, plus Maddux Court and Cole Avenue
  • West of and including Dayton-Cincinnati Pike, including Riverview Avenue and the Curtis and Siebert plats west of the Great Miami River

About 2,000 homes are impacted. People should boil water for drinking, cooking, or oral hygiene for at least one minute.

The boil advisory will be in effect for at least 24 hours.
