Fire forces Fairborn family out of home

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) — A fire forced a family out of their Fairborn home.

Firefighters said flames and smoke started in a bedroom at the home on East McLaughlin Avenue Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were able to mainly contain the flames to the bedroom.

Four people were inside at the time, but they were able to escape the fire.

Investigators said they are trying to determine what sparked the flames.

No word on damage estimates, but fire officials said there was smoke damage throughout the home.
