Flea market coming to east Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton’s Xenia Avenue business district will see new commerce on Sundays.

The Xenia Avenue Farm & Flea will be held on Xenia Avenue the first Sunday of the month beginning in May and running through October.

The event encourages people to sell their wares from yard sale items to farm produce and homemade goods.

Organizers hope holding the event on Sundays will attract churchgoers, neighbors and customers from across the area.

Approximately two-dozen vendors are expected to participate in the launch which is this weekend.

The event will be held in a parking lot at 521 Xenia Ave. between Wright-Patt Credit Union and St., Mary Church.

The event runs from 12 to 4 p.m.

The market is organized by East End Community Services, a nonprofit agency aimed at growing the Twin Towers neighborhood.
