Man leads Huber Heights police on chase

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A man is taken into custody in Clark County after leading Huber Heights police on a chase on I-70 Eastbound.

Huber Heights police were called to a hotel on Brandt Pike before 5 p.m. Monday for a man acting disorderly. When the first officer arrived, he found the suspect sitting in a car in the parking lot. When the officer made contact with him, the driver hit the police cruiser several times and drove away.

The officer followed the suspect on I-70. Police say the suspect drove below the speed limit.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers placed stop sticks on I-70. The suspect stopped at the ramp off I-70 Eastbound onto State Route 41. Police took the suspect into custody, after he refused to exit the vehicle.

The suspect was taken to the hospital. Police said they were concerned he would harm himself.
