Ohio cities make the list of best places to start a business

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – WalletHub has released its list of the best cities to start a business.

The survey coincides with National Small Business Week.

Ohio doesn’t have any cities in the top 20, but Cincinnati comes in at 34 and Columbus at 38.

Toledo also made an appearance on the list. They have the lowest average annual rent per square foot of commercial office space at $11.63, which is nearly nine times cheaper than San Francisco, the city with the highest at $99.42. Cleveland had the second lowest average labor costs.

WalletHub says the rankings are intended to help aspiring entrepreneurs maximize their chances for long-term prosperity.
