Tech Report: Amazon cracks down on fake reviews

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Amazon is cracking down on fake reviews.

And Tech Reporter Gabe Slate shows how big this problem is. Amazon shoppers rely on these customer reviews before buying products.

The stars help customers decide whether or not to click “add to cart” when shopping. A five-star review of a product from an actual buyer goes a long way.

A lot of people will only buy stuff on Amazon that has good reviews, like four or five stars.

Amazon knows this so they are exposing and going after fake reviews.
