Group of women builders making new home for Trotwood family

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — A group of women are helping give a Trotwood family a new home.

“Women’s Build,” a group associated with Habitat for Humanity, worked to build a new home on Sandy Drive on Saturday.

The group is made entirely of females to help inspire other women to become more active in housing projects.

“We have plenty of women out here today and it’s nice to see lots of women on the build and a few men,” said Laura Moore, Chair for Women Build. “It just shows you that women in groups can do a lot of.”

The group hopes to finish the family’s new home in twelve weeks. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
