Miami Valley moms raising money to help children with cancer

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Miami Valley moms are coming together to help children battling a deadly disease.

The 6th Annual Moms 4 Miracles golf outing in Centerville on Saturday helped raise money for children who are undergoing chemotherapy and their families.

The group offers to pay for medical bills and iPads so children in the hospital can play games during treatment.

Donations are also made to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Cincinnati Bengals placekicker Mike Nugent was at the event to help raise support.

“They’re so giving and they’ve worked so hard to give so much of their time to help other people,” said Nugent. “I think if you can surround youself with people like that, as long as it can be very contagious, it really just helps everyone out.”
