DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Police Department issued a search warrant at a home on East 5th Street in Dayton Tuesday.

It happened in the 2500 block of East 5th Street following neighbor complaints and an overdose earlier this week, according to Dayton Police.

Police confirm with 2 NEWS that drugs were being sold out of the residence, including heroin.

Heroin is “a very biologically addicting drug. It’s something that’s causing a lot of overdoses. Whatever enforcement action we can do to mitigate some of that situation, we will take those enforcement actions,” said Sgt. John Sullivan with the Dayton Police Department. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
