MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – The three women who are accused of playing a role in the death of a 5-year-old boy in a hotel room in April have been indicted Wednesday.
The deceased boy had a brother, who was also badly injured and was also found at the hotel
The mother of the two children, Theresa Hawkins-Stephens, 26, and her friend Rachael Bostian, 29 — as well as Bostian’s mother, Ramona Bostian, 56, all face multiple charges related to murder, kidnapping, child endangering and obstructing justice.
Ramona Bostain has been indicted on a single charge of obstructing justice.
All three will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. June 6 in Middletown.
The two were beaten by three women over a 22-hour span and so badly injured by the alleged abuse that responding police and paramedics were left in tears, Middletown police said.
In a previous interview, Middletown police Maj. Mark Hoffman said that investigators believe the 5- and 6-year-old boys were wrapped in sheets and beaten after one took food.
