MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — Middletown Police are searching for a second vehicle that could’ve been involved in a single car crash.

It happened near the intersection of Orchard St. and Roosevelt Blvd. at around 1 a.m. Wednesday.IMG_0524

Witnesses tell 2 NEWS they saw two cars going at a high rate of speed, and possibly racing before the accident occurred.

The car that crashed hit a power pole; however, no power outages were reported after the crash.

Those witnesses say they saw a woman get out of the car on the passenger side, and she refused medical treatment.

The male driver was taken to Atrium Medical Center. It’s not clear what his condition is at this hour.

Police will be investigating whether drugs, alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash.
