KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – A man on a bicycle reportedly robbed a 5/3 Bank in Kettering, near the intersection of Wilmington and Patterson Friday afternoon.

There, he handed the bank teller a note that said he had a gun and demanded money — but never brandished a firearm, Kettering police say.

He left the bank on a bicycle and rode off into a nearby neighborhood. Police say he then ditched the bike and took off on foot.

Police say he got away with about $1,000 from the bank. There is no one in custody following the robbery as of Friday afternoon, according to police.
