DAYTON (WDTN) – The public will be invited to meet the candidates for the Dayton Public Schools Superintendent position on June 10th.
The Dayton Board of Education will host the community forum to introduce the top candidates for the position.
Each candidate will have 30 minutes to answer questions posed by the community.
The board will also seek feedback from those in attendance to be used in its final decision.
The forum will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at River’s Edge Montessori School.
The board has been searching for a new superintendent since April 13th when it failed to reach terms of a new contract with current superintendent Lori Ward.
Ward will finish out her term as superintendent, which ends on June 30th.
She worked in the Dayton school system for 21 years, including the past six as superintendent.
