Wheels stolen from truck in driveway

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man reported wheels worth $3500 were stolen from his driveway.

Dayton Police were called to the 4700 block of Barnhart Avenue Tuesday morning after a man reported the wheels from his pickup were stolen.

The victim told police he heard a noise around 4:15 Tuesday morning and then heard a car speeding away.  When the man looked outside he saw his pickup truck on jacks and all four wheels were gone.

Police found a window had been broken in the truck and believe the suspect got into the pickup through the broken window, found the lock key for the wheels and then stole the wheels.

The victim told police the wheels were worth $3500.

The incident is under investigation.
