One person in custody after SWAT standoff in Dayton

Person arrested had outstanding warrants as well.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — One person is in custody following a brief standoff with police.

Law enforcement was called to a home in the 200 block of Burkhardt Avenue on Sunday.

Montgomery County dispatchers said three people entered the vacant building, refusing to leave for about 30 minutes.

At that time, SWAT was called in to assist.

Just after 10 p.m., police took one person into custody.

That person is facing multiple charges, including resisting arrest, obstruction and inducing panic.

The person in custody also had outstanding warrants.
