BELLEVUE, Ohio (KWQC) – The pictures look more like selfies than mugshots.
Two of three assault suspects arrested in Ohio struck playful poses when police snapped their intake photos last Thursday.
Ashley England, 29, Mary Jordan, 33, and Sammie Whaley, 31, all of Sandusky, Ohio, are accused of assaulting a Bellevue McDonald’s employee in the parking lot “because she was working too slowly,” according to police.

“They were not purposely allowed to take the mug shots in that manner,” said Detective Eric Burt.
“That’s the way they decided to take the pictures.”
It was a decision that cost the young women in court because Burt says the judge “was not happy” when he saw the photos.
“That’s why there was no 10% allowed on their bond and they were taken to jail,” Detective Burt says.
There were other more serious mug shot poses, but police say they wanted the judge to see this side of the suspects.
“We felt the impact of these mugshots would show more of the true [attitude] of these females concerning this incident.”
In addition to the assault charges, England and Jordan are charged with child endangerment because police say they “had their children present with them and participating in the incident.”
