HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A house fire in Huber Heights has closed Fishburg Road Monday afternoon.

The call initially came in just before 5 p.m. in the 4200 block of Fishburg Road. Crews say they believe the fire started in the attic of the home.

Crews say there was a man inside the home when the fire started, and that they were able to wake him up in time and get him outside safely.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries, but was treated at the scene and released. Part of the home’s roof and staircase collapsed during the fire. The house is considered a total loss.

As of late Monday afternoon crews took a defensive stance on the home.

2 NEWS has a crew at the scene. We will update this story with more information as we get it.
