DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a crane rental service business was ransacked and equipment was stolen.

Officers were called to Maxim Crane Works located at 1530 Nicholas Road Saturday after 5 a.m. for a burglary alarm.

A worker told police when he arrived, the front gate pad lock had been broken as well as a window. The offices in the building had all been ransacked and a computer and microwave were missing. Police said someone also rummaged through tool boxes and multiple vehicles in the lot and garage.

Officers said a black 2005 Ford Expedition was stolen from the business.

The worker told police he wasn’t sure of all of the items that were stolen, but he and the other employees would be conducting inventory of the business to find out what had been taken.
