Man shot in the face shows up at hospital

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a man shot in the face drove himself to the hospital.

Police were called to Good Samaritan Hospital located at 2222 Philadelphia Drive Friday around 2:30 p.m. to meet with the shooting victim.

Officials said a white Ford Explorer was parked at the front entrance to the emergency room and had a substantial amount of blood on it. The said there was a bullet hole in the front passenger side door and broken glass on the seat.

The victim told officers he was in his vehicle parked on Ridge Avenue near North Main Street when a man got in the front passenger seat and put a gun to his face telling him “this is a robbery.” He said the man then shot him in the face and then fled. The victim drove himself to the hospital.

The victim was transported form Good Samaritan Hospital to Miami Valley Hospital. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Police were not able to find any witnesses of the incident.
