TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Miami County.
The checkpoint will take place from 9 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday on State Route 571 in Tipp City.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The effort is a partnership between the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Tipp City Police Department, and the Miami County Sheriff’s Department.
There will also be nearby saturation patrols to combat alcohol related injury and fatal crashes.
Officials warn, if you plan to drink, designate a sober driver.
