DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man said he was assaulted as he was being thrown out of a nightclub in Dayton.

Police were dispatched to Club Masque at 34 North Jefferson Street around 4 a.m. Saturday.

The victim told officers he was kicked out of the club for reportedly not paying for his drinks, even though he told workers that he had. The victim said he asked a man repeatedly why he was being thrown out of the club when the man pushed him to the ground and the victim cut his chin.

Medics said the victim may need stitches for his injury.

The victim declined transport to the hospital.

He said he has seen the man who reportedly assaulted him at the club before. Dayton Police are still investigating.
