Woman pleads guilty to lesser charge in Middletown boy’s death

HAMILTON, Ohio (WLWT) – One of three women charged in connection with the death of a boy and the injuring of another at a Middletown motel has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Ramona Bostian, 56, pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of obstruction of justice.

Bostian, her daughter Rachel Bostian and her daughter’s friend, Theresa Hawkins-Stephens, were arrested after Alexander Stevens, 5, and his brother Damyan, 6, were found severely beaten inside of Parkway Inn on N. Verity Parkway on April 27.

Alexander died a few days later.

Ramona Bostian was originally charged with two counts of child endangering and two counts of felonious assault.

She will now be sentenced on Aug. 22.

Proceedings for the murder and other charges against Bostian’s daughter and the boys’ mother continue.
