Kettering Fairmont choir sings with Foreigner, gets donation

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Members of Kettering Fairmont High School’s choir got the experience of a lifetime.

They joined the band Foreigner on stage during a concert at the Fraze Pavilion Sunday night.

The choir joined the band while singing the hit song “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

The concert was also a charity event raising money for Hungry for Music which provides students and schools with musical instruments they are not able to afford.

“It’s neat to see kids get to do these kinds of things,” said Brody McDonald, Director of Choir at Kettering Fairmont High School. “Each year, as the experience comes around, I’m doing them over and over but the kids are doing them for the first time. It’s a great thing to watch them have the fun on being on stage in front of 4,000 people. It’s a real treat.”

Foreigner also donated $500 dollars to the school’s choir. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
