$62,000 found hidden in suitcase at Dayton Airport

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Thursday morning Dayton Police along with TSA agents found thousands of dollars hidden inside a suitcase.

It happened around 9:45 am when Dayton Police were dispatched to the Dayton International Airport where TSA agents had located two hidden packages.

According to the police report the packages were concealed in the lining of a suitcase that belong to a passenger from Cincinnati.

Total estimated of the money found was $62,000.

Homeland Security Investigations and Drug Enforcement Agency were called to the scene, HSI ended up taking control of the bag and money.
