TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — The largest multi-sport facility in the Miami Valley has officially been introduced to the public.
The Dayton Sports Complex hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday its location in the 4800 block of Salem Avenue.
People were able to get a tour of the new 67,000 square foot complex.
The complex will have amenities for people to use and will also function as a place to host special events or private meetings.
“They are going to be used year round,” said Trotwood Mayor Mary McDonald. “There are a number of people using it year round now. It’s just going to be a great addition to this region in terms of sports relating to tennis and soccer.”
The new complex’s partnership with Trotwood was also an added benefit after the recent announcement Hara Arena would be closing.
