Man who fled police, girlfriend indicted

Joshua Kiser hid from police for nearly two weeks after being shot by a Huber Heights police officer.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  A man who ran from police and hid in a hotel room and his girlfriend who helped hide him were both indicted Tuesday.

Joshua Kiser was arrested in July after nearly two weeks on the run from police. Kiser had been shot by a Huber Heights police officer on June 27 after officers tried to arrest him on a warrant for aggravated robbery.

Police suspected Kiser was hiding with his girlfriend, Paige Taylor. Fairborn Police received a tip they were hiding in a hotel room but when they got there they found

Taylor in the room and arrested her. Kiser had left in a car but police found him a short time later but he jumped from a car as police were pulling the vehicle over.

Kiser was arrested after a brief foot chase.

Kiser was indicted Tuesday on two charges of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with police. Taylor was indicted for receiving stolen property, obstructing justice and tampering with evidence.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
