Police: Suspicious package in front of Dayton City Hall not a threat

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A suspicious package at an intersection in downtown Dayton shut the area down Tuesday afternoon.

Dayton Police later tweeted that the package was not a threat.

It was located at Third and Ludlow Streets in front of Dayton City Hall. The Dayton Bomb Squad also responded.

Police have not said what the package was as of Tuesday afternoon. 2 NEWS has a crew at the scene, we will update this story with more information as we get it.
