Victim identified in Darke County fatal crash

GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened on Tuesday.

Elias Burr, 16 from Greenville was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday night.

Two other male children who were in the car are his siblings. They remain at Children’s Medical Center and recent information suggests they are expected to survive their injuries.

The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Krickeberg Road shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Part of the highway was closed for about four hours just east of Greenville as deputies worked to clear the scene.

Law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions, EMS and two CareFlight helicopters also responded to the scene, according to the Early Bird.
