TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — A petting zoo in Troy is looking for a specific type of animal to help be an ambassador at its ranch.
The Idle-Hour Ranch is looking for animals belonging to 4-H students who do not want to auction them at a fair.
The company is accepting applications from students in hopes of their animal becoming an ambassador of the ranch.
If selected, the animal will be kept in an offsite petting zoo where it will be taken care of for the duration of its life.
“We need animals that are user-friendly,” said Brian Iddings, Owner of the Idle-Hour Ranch. “One that can lead with a lead rope or follow me wherever I go. The best way to get that is from one that is trained by a 4-H student or a 4-H exhibitor.”
People whose animals are selected will also receive a free forever season pass to visit anytime the ranch is open.
