Kettering Police search home for drugs

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – A complaint from neighbors led to a drug raid and two arrests Friday morning. One of the two arrested is a Huber Heights school teacher.

Huber Heights City Schools told 2 NEWS Friday morning that Kelly Stone, 30, teaches art at two elementary schools using the name Kelly McGill. McGill teaches art at Charles Huber and Wright Brothers Elementary Schools.

Kelly Stone, 30 lives at the home in the 1200 block of Rose Bower Avenue and was arrested and charged with permitting drug abuse and drug possession, according to police.

2 NEWS is working to learn more about McGill and her background.

Police searched the home around 8 a.m. on Friday after a weeks-long investigation into drug activity.

Kettering Police said a man and woman from the house were questioned in a cruiser by officers.

Lt. Daniel Gangwer of the Kettering Police Department told 2 NEWS neighbors complained about the excessive traffic and their suspicion the drugs were at the house, leading to the warrant and the raid.

Donte Shackleford, 31 was arrested on outstanding warrants, according to police.

Police detectives searched the home and found drugs and drug paraphernalia as well as one stolen firearm in the house.

McGill and Shackelford are both being held in the Kettering jail.
