Dollar General in Trotwood robbed Monday

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) –  Police in Trotwood are investigating a robbery in the 5100 block of Salem Avenue Monday morning.

The Dollar General in Salem Plaza at 5118 Salem Avenue was robbed. around 10:00 Monday morning.

Trotwood Police released a statement Monday afternoon. Police say a light-skinned black male, approximately 25-30 years old, walked into the store and picked out several items. He took them to the register and showed a handgun, demanded money and the items he took to the counter, then ran from the store heading south on Salem.

The man is described as 6-feet, 3 or 4-inches in height, 150 to 160 pounds, last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts.

This robbery is still under investigation.
