Sheriff: New Carlisle man throws Chihuahua from 2nd story window

NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A man is ordered into court Tuesday after he’s accused of throwing a Chihuahua from a second story window.

It happened around 8 a.m. Monday morning in the 2300 block of South Dayton Lakeview Road — the Sunshine Apartments.

Deputies arrived on scene to find the glass broken from the window where the dog was allegedly thrown from, as well as broken shards of glass on the ground.

The dog reportedly ran from the scene after falling and has not yet been found since. The suspect, 28-year-old Dustin M. Jackson was found inside the apartment, hiding in a closet, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

He has been charged with Cruelty to Animals and an unrelated warrant for traffic violations.
