DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Donte Murphy, a teacher’s aide, is accused of faking a teaching certificate, that went undetected for two years.
He’s accused of submitting the forged teaching certificate to the school between July and Aug. 2014, according to the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Murphy faces one count of forgery and one count of tampering with records.
He is also charged with three counts of sexual battery following an incident with an 18-year-old student.
Murphy was fired from Dayton Public Schools in March 2016 after the forgery was discovered.
