Good samaritan murdered trying to help pregnant woman

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Murder charges have been filed in the case of an Oklahoma City Good Samaritan killed while trying to help a pregnant woman last month.

Court records show Greg Hill was killed trying to cool down a heated argument between 21-year-old Jimmy Lynn Simms and his pregnant girlfriend.

Investigators say Simms had fired one shot into the dash of his girlfriend’s vehicle with their 1-year-old son in the back seat. Then, witnesses say they saw Simms walk toward Hill, and the bullets started flying.

“He lost his life trying to be a Good Samaritan,” says neighbor D.J. Thompson. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
