DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A documentary from Houston, Texas will be playing in Dayton, and the meaning of the film translates to the Miami Valley.
It is called Generation Found, and focuses on community members coming together to help young people overcome drug addiction. The drug may be different in different areas of the country, but the fight is the same. Here at home, it’s the opioid addiction that is killing so many people, disrupting families, and impacting communities.
“We want to talk about how we can move toward recovery,” said Ann Stevens with the Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Service. “That’s why it’s called ‘generation found’ because we’ve lost many generations… we have to stop the epidemic.”
You can watch the documentary Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at Regal Fairfield Commons Stadium 20 & RPX. Tickets are $13.80, but all proceeds will benefit addiction recovery efforts.
