Charity bike ride raises thousands for local groups

YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) — An annual bike tour benefiting four local charities raised more than $100,000.

URS, the Alzheimer’s association, JDRF, and South Community Behavioral Health recently received a check for $105,200. Each group will get $26,300 from the event.

The money was raised during the 14th year of the Young’s Ice Cream Charity Bike Tour.

Riders have raised more than $1 million in the past 14 years to help people in the Miami Valley.
