BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — People spent the night lined up outside Apple stores across the U.S. to be the first to get their hands on the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
That includes several people who spent the night on the sidewalk outside the Apple store at the Greene in Beavercreek. The first person in line says he arrived at 7 p.m. on Thursday. 13 hours before the store opened, to get his hands on the new phone.
Technically, they’re in line to pick up something they already bought. The phones are sold out, and walk-in customers won’t be able to buy them on Friday.
Apple says the new phones have faster processors, better cameras and longer battery life than their predecessors.
The phones are also designed to be more water resistant.
The Apple store in Beavercreek opened at 8 a.m. on Friday.
