DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – United Rehabilitation Services’ 13th Annual Rubber Duck Regatta took place in downtown Dayton Friday.

The ducks were dropped right 6:30 Friday night. The first duck to cross the line belonged to Bob and Sara Depouw. They won a seven-bedroom Norris Lake houseboat rental vacation. Second place went to Gregory Simpson, taking home a $1,000 Kroger gift card. David and Carmala Coble came in third winning a $1,000 Watson’s gift card. Bryon Curry’s duck crossed the finish line fourth. He took away two round-trip Southwest Airlines tickets. Sheila Bradley rounded out the top five, winning Bagger Dave’s burgers for a year.

The fundraiser benefits United Rehabilitation Services. URS has been serving children and adults with disabilities in our community for 60 years. Organizers say the regatta bridges the funding gap to help pay for services and supports for individuals with disabilities in our community.

It’s one of the largest fundraisers for URS and WDTN is a proud sponsor. 2 NEWS Today Anchor John Seibel was live at Riverscape Metropark with the event.

Next year, the URS Rubber Duck Regatta will be held during the Hispanic Heritage Festival on September 17.
