KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Kettering police are searching for a man who robbed a credit union Monday.

They say the male suspect showed a handgun, demanded money and fled from the scene on foot. It’s unclear if any customers were inside the credit union at the time of the robbery.

It happened around 1 p.m. in the 3000 block of East Stroop Road at the Universal One Credit Union in Kettering.

Police say the suspect was wearing a blue or purple shirt, black pants, black shoes, a black Pirates hat, a black mask and sunglasses. A K-9 officer was called to track the suspect, according to police.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, police say.
