Skydiving plane catches fire during flight, then slams into Arizona home

(KPNX) Work continues on a severely damaged Gilbert, Arizona home after a plane crashed into it over the weekend.

Windows on the home are blown out, there are large cracks in the side walls and a gaping hole in the middle of the roof.

From the street, one can see through the front door of the home straight through to the backyard.

Firefighters say a man and woman were inside the home when the aircraft blew through their roof. Miraculously, they escaped without any injury.

The pilot of the plane was ejected and rushed to a burn center, where he remains in stable condition.
