PORTLAND, OR (WCMH) — A driver crashed her car near Portland, Oregon after a spider dropped down from the rearview mirror, deputies said.

The crash took place on Northwest Thompson Road, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say a woman driving lost control of her gold Toyota car when a spider dropped down from the mirror. She veered off the road and rolled the vehicle over into a ditch.

Police say the driver only suffered minor injuries. The spider was nowhere to be found, KOMO-TV reports.

“Spider season is in full swing,” the sheriff’s office tweeted.
