NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) — Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine unveiled a new educational drug video during a forum in Clark County on Wednesday night.
Dewine led the Clark County Drug Forum, which was held at Tecumseh High School.
The new video features a story about Cole Smoot, a Tecumseh High School student who died in 2011 of an accidental overdose.
After debuting the video on Wednesday, Dewine said it would be shown throughout the state.
Wednesday’s forum also focused on how to get people help who are struggling with addiction.
“We have not gotten together as a community completely to fight it,” Pat Banaszak, the Executive Director of Family Youth Initiatives said. “That’s what we hope to through our family and youth initiatives, is to encourage the public to get together with local task forces so we can fight this epidemic locally”
