Meijer wants to add 400 new employees in the Dayton area


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  Meijer is looking to hire nearly 400 new team members and are hosting hiring events in the Miami Valley.

Meijer said Friday the will hold four hiring events at Dayton area stores Saturday.

The fairs will all run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The retailer said they hope to hire 100 new team members per store in the region. People interesting in the opportunity can go to any Dayton area store and apply. Interviews will be conducted on site during the fair.

Openings include leadership, part-time, full-time and seasonal positions that range from cashiers and third-shift stockers to meat cutters, cake decorators and department team leaders.

Meijer says benefits include weekly pay, flexible scheduling and health coverage options for eligible employees.

The starting hourly wage will vary on experience level and specific skills. People interested in the open positions can learn more and begin the process by applying online at the Meijer website.
