Missing Butler County man found safe, returned to family

HAMILTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has canceled a Missing Adult Alert.

Authorities found Richard Ashton early on Friday morning. Ashton was found safe and returned to his family.

He went missing around 7 p.m. on Thursday night.

The Sheriff’s Office said Ashton left a hospital in West Chester and did not return home.

The Sheriff’s Offices said Ashton suffers from cognitive issues and may have become lost while trying to get home.
