WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – A bad power cable has knocked out power for nearly 4,000 residents in Montgomery County Friday.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of Stephanie Street in Washington Township.
The Washington Township Fire Department said earlier that it was a transformer fire. DP&L says it’s a power cable issue. The cable will be switched to a new one and customers will have restored power soon.
Washington Township Fire and Dayton Power and Light crews are on scene.
