BROOKVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – Brookville Police are investigating an incident after a group of kids reporting seeing two clowns, scaring children in wooded area near Golden Gate Park in Brookville.

The incident was reported to Police Saturday during a little league football game at the park.

Police couldn’t locate either clown, but they did find two Halloween masks. Both masks were found hanging in a tree where Police say the group of kids were playing.

Police happened to be in park Saturday when a group of kids alerted them about what happened. This comes around the same time a Greenville man was attacked by two men dressed as clowns Tuesday. He was able to escape and call police.

Brookville Police Department says in the meantime they’re asking for any help from the public in identity the clowns.

“Myself and a couple of other officers searched the woods, but we were unable to locate anybody,” Brookville Police Major Tom Simon said. “We did find a couple masks that were hanging in the trees, but as far as we know there’s no other clowns running around and haven’t been able to locate anybody.”
