Sheriff investigating concealed-carry class instructor

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday they are investigating a local NRA Instructor who was providing CCW classes to people training for application for a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

In a release Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said they have received several complaints from people taking classes given by Michael Landis. The complaints included classes not meeting the requirements for application, certificates needed for the application not meeting state requirements and being double charged for the class.

The West Carrollton Police are also investigating Landis on similar issues.

The Sheriff’s Office says after consulting wit the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, the case will be presented to a Montgomery County grand jury for review and possible charges.
